Sareva was my best friend & neighbor, k-3rd grade when I moved to Texas. For some reason she entered my head today, searching lead me here. So sorry to hear of her passing & condolences to her family. I have relatives in Woodland Park, had I known she lived there I would surely have looked her up.

Mrs. Parkhurst was my teacher in both 5th and 6th grade in the late 1980s. I have so many fond memories of her class and her influence in my life. She pushed me to grow in meaningful ways. I will never forget our 5th grade class learning about the Revolutionary War in creative ways and the project we had to do on a foreign country. I can tell now how much her faith influenced her teaching. It was a ministry to her and it certainly ministered to me. When I learned of her passing, I reflected on many of the ways her teaching formed me, and I was filled with gratitude. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to her husband, Ed, and the many people who loved her.

Mrs. Parkhurst, you were hands-down the best teacher ever. My family was honored to have you for all three of our children“s fifth grade teacher. What an awesome experience it was. You will always have a special place in the hearts of all of us. We talk of you often and we have wonderful memories of your teaching and your wisdom. Godspeed, prayers of peace and strength to all of the family. God bless you Mrs. Parkhurst.
With sincerest love, Jim, Mary Beth, Cassie, Allison and Donny Kirk.
