Scott Lee Obituary

Born in Oshkosh, WI in 1951. Scott graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1969, joined the Air Force in 1970 and had a 26-year career, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Assignments took him all over the world including Germany, Iceland, Alaska, Australia and many other foreign countries during his days with AWACS. He had several tours in Colorado Springs and made this his home.

There are few people in this world who make your life better for knowing them and Scott was one of those people. He was generous, thoughtful, and would

do everything possible to help a friend.

He was a stained glass artist and created many original pieces for friends and family.

He loved sports, was an avid Bronco fan, bowler, poker player and had a fun, competitive nature. He was a self taught snow skier and graced the slopes with his style. Golf was his passion. He was fortunate to play 4-5 days a week in recent years and boasted a low handicap. He was a frequent golfer at the USAFA courses.

Scott saw humor in everything around him and referred to himself as a "humor being". You never knew what funny thing would next come out of his mouth. He kept us all laughing at his jokes and his stories.

Scott volunteered at the Peterson Air Force Museum for many years, was a member of the Eisenhower Men's Golf Association, and a member of the Rocky Toppers RV Camping Club.

He is survived by wife Marcia, sister Debbie Lee, and brother Kelly (Donna) Schultz and their extended families who all loved him dearly.

Memorial service to be held at The Retired Enlisted Association, 834 Emory Circle, Colo. Spgs., on April 21 at 2:00pm.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to The Shriners organization.

Scott will be missed tremendously. He has been a mentor and friend since his first days in Woomera, Australia. We will fondly remember our many camping trips and will always think of Scott when I see jet skis buzzing around Pueblo Lake and when sitting down for a game of pinochle. Scott and Marcia have been like family to my children also as they have attended so many birthdays, graduations, and other life events. Although he is no longer with us physically, he will always be with us spirtually. Rest in Peace Scott. Frank and Debi Bazzo (Colorado Springs)

In my early days with AWACS, I flew with Scott on a number of missions. An outstanding, dedicated 117X0 individual whom I learned a lot from. We are diminished with his passing.

There are those in our lives that make an impression, Scott was one of those who was such a person in mine. A Great Supervisor, and a Wonderful Friend. Will miss him dearly.

Marcia,
I am just one of many who will miss Scott at the Eisenhower Golf Course. I was shocked to hear of his passing. He will be missed by many of us who like to play golf at Eisenhower.; I am 84 years old and am shocked to hear of his passing at such a young age. If there is anything I can do to help you and/or your family in the future, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Gerald Simonson

Marcia. So sorry for your loss and sorry I cannot make it back. Scott was a wonderful man and he will be dearly missed by all of us. First met Scott when he was the 21st Ops Supt and he and I worked closely together. He taught me so much. I also enjoyed playing golf and all the free lessons Scottie gave me. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. sincerely...Jim Dill

Always seemed to draw Scott for the numerous Home & Away events between Eisenhower GC and Flying Horse...enjoyed every minute of the time we were together...talking golf or just laughing...but, always competing.
