Sharon Lou (Jones) Mekis age 82 passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 24, 2021. She was the daughter to Herald Jones and Gladys (Christianson) Jones. Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana and graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1957. In 1981 Sharon moved to Colorado Springs. She was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles #143 For 35 Years. She enjoyed going to Cripple Creek and her love of animals.
Preceded in death by; Parents Herald and Gladys, Husband Otto Mekis, Sister Nancy Green, Son Jeremy Norman and Daughter Candy Tyhurst.
Survived by Sons; James Gardner, Timothy Gardner and Gregory Tyhurst.
Daughters; Teresa Woodrow, Tamara Dion and Heather Mckinsey.
Sharon also had, 15 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charity of choice.

So many times Sharon was a second mother to me. She was truly the professional one at "dork-n" and I enjoyed Goin "dorking" with her.
She will be highly missed. And looking forward to the last day when we all will see each other again.

Sharon you will be missed dearly. I will miss going to Bingo with you and you would get so excited for me. You'd say your gonna get this one. Then dancing at the Elks Club to one of your favorites. Kansas City, here I come. Boy did we a cut a rug back then. Until we met again. RIP We love you and are going to miss you.
