Sharon Mullins Obituary

Sept. 16, 1942 - Oct. 30, 2008 Sharon Louise (Dugan) Mullins departed this life on October 30, 2008 after battling kidney disease. She was born on September 16, 1942 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Fred P. and Virginia A. Dugan, both who preceded her in death. Sharon was married to her devoted husband, Roger Allen Mullins on May 23, 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he survives her. They traveled to Germany, California, and Georgia on military assignments before retiring in January 1989. They had no children, however both were dog and cat lovers and had many through the years. Sharon grew up on a ranch in Peyton, Colorado and attended Peyton High School. She worked at various area banks in the bookkeeping departments. Sharon is also survived by a brother Daniel(Mary) Dugan of Windsor Colorado; Connie Mills of Simla, Colorado; David(Jennifer) of Calhan, Colorado; Brothers in-law Robert S. (Sharon) Mullins of Morehead, Kentucky; James R. of New Albany, Indiana; Terry L. of Appleton, Wisconsin. Additionally, many nieces, nephews, grandniece, aunts and cousins. Flowers may be sent or contributions made in memoriam to either Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 East Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 or the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, 610 Abbott Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 and Thursday November 6, 2008 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Swan-Law Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Interment will follow at Peyton Cemetery, Peyton Colorado where there will be a short graveside service followed by a community dinner at the Peyton Middle School. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kindness, love and care given to Sharon by hospice, family, and friends during her final journey in life. Eternal thanks.

Allen,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Sharon was one of my first friends and I remember talking about rocking on the porch when we got old. There were many good times and the time, unfortunately, has gone much to quickly. My sympathy and prayers are with you.
