It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have to announce the loss of our beloved son, amazing father, and admired friend.
Shawn Anthony Perkins, 42, of Colorado Springs passed away unexpectedly April 12, 2022.
He was born on September 12, 1979 to Vickie Sue and Daniel Mark Perkins in Columbus, Ohio.
Shawn attended Wasson High School and graduated in 1997.
He worked as a telecommunications installation and maintenance technician for fifteen years, and King Soopers for the last five years.
Shawn enjoyed following sports and was a big fan of the Avalanche and the Cincinnati Bengals, but he mostly enjoyed watching movies with his daughter, Kyla.
He is preceded in death by his cousin, Justin Eric VanMeter of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and uncle, Jeff VanMeter of Seattle, Washington.
Shawn is survived by his daughter, Kyla Erica Perkins; mother, Vickie Sue Brown; stepfather, David Wayne Brown, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and father, Daniel Perkins, of Columbus, Ohio.
Visitation, 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, Funeral Service immediately following, 2:00PM, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909.
