Sheila Seltzer Obituary
Mrs. Sheila M. Seltzer, 59, of South Liberty Street Orwigsburg, passed away while in the company of family members Thursday, August 15, 2013, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, Berks County, PA. She was born in Pottsville, PA on February 11, 1954, the daughter of the late Franklin C. and Mary Jane I (Koch) Eckert. She was the wife of Robert W. Seltzer. They married on July 4, 1986. She was an Interior Decorator and was a long time employee of the Forget Me Not Flowers shop in Pottsville for many years. Following this she was the owner of the former Corner Cupboard Gift Shop in Leibys Restaurant and in the past few years she was dedicated to saving unwanted Cats and Dogs. Sheila was a Blue Mountain High School Graduate, Class of 1972 and also a Graduate of The Pottsville Hospital School of Radiology as a Technician, and was raised in the Lutheran Faith. Survivors: In addition to her husband of 27 years, Robert W. Seltzer, of Orwigsburg, are brother Kevin F. husband of Margaret Eckert of Rowlett, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews including her brothers daughter Emily Eckert. Services: Family and Friends are invited to call on Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and also on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. at The Miller Building, 950 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. Religious Services will be held following the Tuesday Morning visitaion. Interment Services will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, PA. Contributions: Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation in Sheilas memory be sent to Hillside SPCA Inc. P.O. Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901. Hamilton funeral Home, Inc. is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
