Hello to the Watkins family! My name is c.j. spratt. My best friend growing up was shawn, before having to move for military. I spent a lot of time with your family as well. I have always wondered about you all. I was at work when I happened to see Shelby in the obits. I was/am very sorry for all of your loss. At first I wanted to come, pay my respects, then get a chance to see you all & catch up. However I thought that wouldn't be the time not place for that. I didn't want to disrespect. I let it go for years, but thought of you all recently & thought I'd reach out. If I don't hear back I understand. I hope you ALL are doing well during these times. Respectfully & with love, CJ (719)499-8521. I'm sorry, I don't do any social media so that or my email [email protected] are best ways to reach me.

My prayers for comfort & healing to the family. Shelby was a great man & friend. I loved his sense of humor, & am proud to have played in a band with him. I love you "Dr. Watkins", & I'll miss you> I'm grateful I met you & was able to call you "friend".

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Shelby was so full of life and always a joy to be around, he was a fantastic friend to me and the best bass player I've ever played with, I am truly honored to call him my friend and I will miss him dearly.
