Barbara Kibby Obituary

Barbara Ann (Putney) Kibby, Elberta, 59, passed away April 18, 2022. Born Nov 14, 1962, the daughter of Anna (Gunderson) and Clare Putney in Frankfort.
Barb was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Barb especially loved her role as grandma and immediately went to work spoiling her first grandchild, Michael. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor, her sweet tooth, her unwavering determinations in the face of physical difficulties, her unmatched kindness and unconditional love to everyone and animal she encountered. Barb also enjoyed camping with family, decorating the house for the Holidays and family gatherings.
Even though Barb was taken too soon, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who adored her.
She is survived by her sons Mike Putney (Lauren Davis), Shannon Kibby, Shawn Kibby and Justin Kibby (Johnna Gallaty); grandson Michael; siblings Rose Putney, Chris Trachi (Rich), George Putney (Sue), Carol Bredbanner (Art); step children Shane Kibby (Danielle), Shawna McPherson, and Alona Kibby; 14 extended grandchildren and 4 extended great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; husband Glenn Kibby, siblings Clare Jr., Fred, John and Thomas Putney.
Please join us as we celebrate Barbara's life at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 28, at the Jowett Family Funeral Home with Pastor Collin Towersey officiating. Visitation will start at 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial in Gilmore Twp. Cemetery. Arrangements by Jowett Family Funeral Home, Benzonia.
