Shirley was born in Cleveland, Ohio and peacefully passed away in Colorado Springs, CO. Her memory will live on through her loving husband Randall, her daughters Heather and Cheryl, her son Robert, ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Shirley was so very proud of her family, her faith in the Lord, the house she made into a beautiful home, and she was a very giving person by giving out handmade pot holders and holy apostle bracelets. She was not a shy person and would start a conversation with someone and walk away with a smile on her face knowing that had hopefully put a smile of their face.
She enjoyed traveling around Colorado and our country, especially Hawaii, California, Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico and anyplace that had a southwest theme. Driving her Mustang GT convertible was a favorite pastime.
Shirley also was ecstatic to be able to visit Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and travel down the Danube. Her most memorable trips were to Italy where she "almost" shook the Pope's hand and to travel to Slovenia to the town and house where her Father grew up.
Over the years her circle of friends became her larger family which included all her great friends from Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Chruch, through her military and civilain friends from Peterson AFB, and through the best neighbors a person could have. May my Shirley rest in everlasting peace.
