Shirley McAllister Obituary

Shirley McAllister passed away at home on Wednesday, September 27, 2006. She was 75, born in Hinsdale, Montana on May 12, 1931 to John and Anna McInnis who preceded her in death. They had seven other children, Dan McInnis, John McInnis, Fred McInnis (deceased), Dorothy Knoll (deceased), Florence Trentman (deceased), Rose Roberts (deceased), and Bobby McInnis (deceased). Shirley married Chuck McAllister on January 14, 1950. They have five children: Charles McAllister, Sheryl Fitzgerald, Jeff McAllister(deceased), Cindy Balch and, Charlene Ibanez, all of Colorado Springs. She has thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two more on the way. Shirley and Chuck moved to Colorado Springs in 1965, where they purchased Sno White Linen and Uniform Rental. Sno White is currently run by the McAllister family. Shirley enjoyed bowling, golfing, needlepoint, and had a special knack for gardening. Her real joy came from time spent with her family and their families. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2006 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade. Memorial Services will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at First United Methodist Church located at 420 N. Nevada Ave. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 4465 Northpark Drive Suite 400 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907 on her behalf.

I just want to tell the family how sorry I am for their lost. I know Shirleywas loved by everyone. I enjoyed talking with her when the family would get together. I know Vaughn loved her and she was great to him and I loved her for it. God be with you all at this time. Love Aunt Marlene
