Don, We will keep you and your family forever in our prayers. Just think. Shirley's up talking with my mom now. You may be in trouble when you get there.

Don what a moving tribute to Shirley. The Oliver Wendell Homes words were wonderful.

Mrs. Snyder was the best gym teacher in the world! I graduated from Wasson in 1972, and Shirley Snyder is one of my favorite memories--and I wasn't even a gymnast. Far from it, in fact--"PE challenged" might be a good way to describe me. But Mrs. Snyder was always there for ALL students. For years after graduation, I worked at King Soopers, and Mrs. Snyder (and many other teachers) regularly came through my line. It was always lovely to see her. Today, I am also a teacher (not a gym teacher though!) and I honestly do model my relationships with my students after the relationships that Mrs. Snyder had with hers. She was compassionate and funny and had a big, big heart. The day I read her obituary was a sad day for me.
