Shirley J. VandeBrake, 80, of Peyton, CO, passed away on Sept. 16, 2024. She was born in Albert Lea, MN to Agnes and Irvin Jacobson. On July 19, 1963, she married the love of her life, Gary. Together they had two sons, Todd and Dean. Shirley and Gary owned Performance Auto Service and Machine in Colorado Springs and later VandeBrake Machine in Peyton. A service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at 10:00 on Thursday, October 3, at Church on the Ranch in Colorado Springs, CO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Right to Life.

My mom, Ruth Douglas from Summit Glen loved Shirley and enjoyed her friendship. We just tried to call her phone and realized it was disconnected leaving us to look up this page. Sending our heart felt condolences to all of your family! She spoke often of each member of the family, so it feels like we know you even though we never met. I know you take comfort in the fact that she is with her precious Gary now!
