Shirley Williamson Obituary

Shirley Evelyn Bothe Williamson, age 77, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1984, passed away on July 21, 2007 in Colorado Springs. Shirley was born on August 27, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter of the late, Louis and Pearl Wilson Bothe. She was raised in the Poly area of Fort Worth, Texas and attended Poly High School, TCU and Texas Wesleyan. She married James Marshall Williamson on November 12, 1948 at Poly Baptist Church; he preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Bothe Jr. and Joe Bothe. Shirley is survived by her two sons, Jim Williamson of Colorado Springs and Bruce Williamson of Portland, Oregon, a sister-in-law, LaVelle Bothe of Fort Worth and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She loved people and was very vivacious; she was a helpful giving person. As Shirley faced her own death, she assured her family that she knew she was going to be with the Lord and had no fear of dying. She did not want her family to be sad but to celebrate her life here and her new life in Heaven. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 290 E. Woodmen Road Colorado Springs. Interment will be on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.

To

the Shirley Williamson family I send condolences from the Peacock family. The

Bothe family was part of growing up in the Poly area and Shirley was a big

part of it. I can still see her in her cowboy boots and twirling a baton.

God Bless!
