Simone Simmons Obituary

04/21/1928 - 01/14/2009 Simone, age 80, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2009. Simone was born in Sterpenich, Belgium in 1928 to Bertha and Henri Pierson. This is where she met her loving husband Al. They were married in Belgium on May 18, 1948, and shared 58 wonderful years together. Simone was a resident of Colorado Springs for 44 years. Simone absolutely adored animals and enjoyed taking long rides, knitting, going out to lunch, and spending time with her family. Simone is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, and her daughter Lorraine. She is survived by her daughter Annette, sons Alan, Steve, Ken, and Gene, her brother George, grandchildren Courage, Stacie, Monica, Zach, Eric, Amber, Andrew, Jennifer, and Matthew, great-grand children Anisha, Deano, Dane, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Ethan, C.J., and Giovanni, and by her beloved cat Blackie. Simone was a wonderful woman who's family and friends will miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 AM.
