A Loving Tribute: From Sofie's Kids
We, her five kids—Sofie, James, Ted, Dwight, and Louis—write this with hearts full of love and sorrow for our Mom, Sofie R. Lawver. Saturday, December 6, 2025, she passed away peacefully at Memorial Hospital. At 81, she left us with the same quiet grace that defined her life, and our world feels forever changed without her.
Mom was the beloved daughter of Helena Dulinska, whose strength and kindness she carried with her always. Sofie was a remarkable woman—our guiding light, our unwavering support, the heart of our family. She had a way of making everyone feel cherished and understood, and her presence brought warmth and joy to every moment. We'll miss her dearly, every single day.
She shared her life with her devoted husband, Louis J. Lawver Sr., and together they built a home filled with love.
Sofie is survived by her five children: Sofie Coe, James Lawver, Ted Lawver, Dwight Lawver, and Louis Lawver; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her enduring spirit.
A private family service will be held to honor her memory. Details will be shared with close family and friends.
