Sonny Lopez Obituary

Barb,
I just learned of your husband's passing this week and am so very sorry for you and your family. As I read the entries in the guest book, they paint a picture of a wonderful husband, father and friend. I hope that your many years of happy shared memories will comfort you during this terrible time and continue to warm your hearts into the future. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Barb & Family, May God help you through this hard time, let the light of love bring you through this with understanding. My prayer is that you all heal together with love.

Barb and Family, Even though I've been gone for a very long time. I remember Sonny as a happy & sweet guy, he helped me to learn how dance at the battle of the bands (yes way back in the day). I'll miss just knowing he was there, He was a good friend.

I will miss Sonny very much. I am so sorry for this difficult time that you have to go through but I know that your large and loving family will be there for you and help you through. I was very privileged to know Sonny and add my voice to the many others who say what a remarkable, loving and wonderful man he was.

You all are in our thoughts daily. I can't believe how brave you all are! My favorite memory of Sonny is his laughing so hard at Kamea and Leilani at Kamea's first birthday party. When it was time to eat her very own fancy cake, Kamea dug right in! And, Leilani pulled up a chair so she could stand right beside her and dig in too. Then, they were both feeding themselves and each other. It was so precious and Sonny just smiled and laughed and smiled some more. His grandkids are so lucky that his spirit lives on in them.

We will really miss Sonny. His joy made a big difference in this world.

My brother Don Bresci was actually friends with Sonny, but he was a good friend of the family (almost a memeber of the family) I remember from a very young age what fun he could be. He would harass me right along with my brothers. I will miss him, and wish all his loved ones peace and the joy of his life.

My family will miss you very much Sunny. I will always remember how you were there for my family when ever we needed you. Your kindness was infectious and you had the biggest heart. May God be with your family through this hard time. God Bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Jessie since kindergarden and I have always been a friend of Sonny's. He worked at Wasson and was the highlight of my day. He always knew how to make me laugh even when I was doen in the dumps. He will be missed. You are in my prayers. I will always remember him. He was someone to look up to and a overall great guy. 25 years ago Sonny came into my life. I was young and had no place to live and Barb and Sonny took me in and taught me what family,love and what life was all about. I have never forgotten what Sonny had done for me over all those years. He has always had a special place in my heart.I will miss him dearly. My love goes out to all of you today and every day.
The ice storm hit bad out here and I could not make it in today to be with all of you, I am so sorry. My heart aches because I can not be there with you all.

First i'd like to send my condolences out to the entire Lopez Family! Sunny was someone i always had an enormous amount of respect for because he always told me the truth...even though i didn't like it all the time. He will be missed dearly because he was such an inspirational person, leaving your mind pondering after a conversation. Sunny was a "positive" role model as a Husband, Father, Coach, and Teacher and displayed how a true individual should be a leader and take care of business.
