Stephen Walczak Obituary

Stephen S. Walczak entered his heavenly home on July 10, 2005 at Penrose Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born January 7, 1923 in Orono, Maine to George and Stella Walczak. Steve served bravely from 1942 through 1945 with the U.S. Army Air Corps in India. After World War II, he attended Coyne Electrical College, then served a four year apprenticeship in Colorado Springs. He became a Journeyman Electrician with the I.B.E.W in 1952 and continued working throughout his life. While working in Cody, Wyoming, Steve met Margaret Kiecker of Rochester, Minnesota. They fell in love and were married November 12, 1949. They lived happily ever after. Steve was an avid gardener and arborist. An amateur naturalist, he spent much of his free time outdoors. His two loves were his family and the home he built them in the hills. Steve leaves behind his wife Margaret "Suzie", daughters: Dawne Louise of Phoenix,  Alison of Denver and Beth of Greeley, grandsons: Ross and Andrew Boswell and Brandon and Evan Price. We all love you Daddy! D.A.B.S. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday July 15, 2005, with the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E. Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour or a charity of your choice.

I have been receiving Christmas letters for years, since I first gave Suzie physical therapy treatments. I could always tell of the deep love of Suzie and Stephen. So much of Stephen will live on after him. May God be with his family and grant them peace of heart.
