Steve Kelly Obituary

Stephen Hugh Kelly was born April 24, 1938 to Eileen and GT Kelly in Norwood, Colorado. He passed away on August 9, 2015 at Aspen House in Loveland, Colorado from Alzheimer's.

Steve is survived by his 5 children Cindy, Steve, Ben, Susan, and Andy, 16 grandkids, and 7 great-grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia (Gleeson) Kelly, the mother of his five children before this marriage ended in divorce; his second wife, Betty Kelly; and one grandson.

Steve came from a Pioneering family whose roots are in Norwood, Colorado, which is located about an hour north of Durango. He was the oldest of 6 siblings: John, Jerry, Pat, Mike, and Tim.

Steve grew up in Colorado Springs and after attending Palmer High School, joined IBEW #113 and became a Master Electrician.

Steve, the patriarch of a beautiful clan, was deeply loved and will be missed by us all.

It was Steve's desire to be cremated. His remains will be scattered at a time and place to be determined.

"All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever."

1 Peter 1:24-25

Steve and I worked together for 15 months on my very first job as an electrician. I remember him as a really great guy! So sad to read of his passing. My condolences.

Cindy and family,

I am so sorry to learn of Steve's passing. He was a kind individual and I enjoyed getting to know him at the circle of friends at North End. Sending you many hugs and holding you all in my heart.
