Steven Bogenreif Obituary

Steven J. ("Bogie") Bogenreif. A 1972 graduate of Coronado High School, passed away on October 18, 2007 in Colorado Springs. Steven was born October 29, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana, Steve lived close to the mountains most of his life and enjoyed both fly-fishing and hunting. Steve was a real "people person" and from the time he was little, whenever the family moved, he was the first one to become acquainted with the neighbors. Steve's mother was frequently asked, "Oh, are you Steve's mother?" When mowing lawns for older people in the neighborhood, he was never too busy to sit and visit with them when he was finished, sometimes for several hours. This caring for and about others was part of Steve. Steve also attended high school in Sheridan Wyoming; Casper WY., and Great Falls, MT. Steve was employed by McCandless Trucks of Colorado Springs, and other truck dealerships in the parts department throughout CO. Steve is survived by his parents of Grand Junction Colorado, twin brother Chuck (Nora) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sister Kathy (Chuck) Rinker of Bozeman, Montana, brother, Mike (Julie) Bogenreif of Tallahassee, FL., and numerous nephews, one niece, several aunts' uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 21, 2007, from 2-4 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home 1830 E. Fountain, Colorado Springs, CO. Services will be Monday October 22, 2007 at 10AM, Evergreen Funeral Home.

Bogie, you were a very close friend and like a brother to me. You always had time to listen when ever I needed someone to talk to and when I needed sound advice. We shared some great times especially when it came to our fishing trips. I miss you very much my dear friend.
