Steven Ross Griswold, 57 a long-time resident of Colorado Springs went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2018 in Gastonia, North Carolina. Steve was born May 8, 1961 in Fontana, California. Steve graduated from Widefield High in 1979. He started with for the Gazette Telegraph as a teenager and worked there for twenty-five years.
Steve had many hobbies including shooting, camping, archery, fishing, swimming and working with his hands. He enjoyed working outside in his yard and garden. He loved working on and collecting old cars, motorcycles, boats and R.V.'s.
Steve had a great sense of humor and great sense of adventure. He had an infectious laugh and we will all miss hearing it. He was a family man with a kind heart and he loved spending time with his family. Steve loved animals and having pets. He was a wonderful brother, husband and father to his children.
He is survived by his children, Kristina Canada, Michael Griswold; his granddaughters, Beau Grace, Raleigh, Sadie and Maci; his wife, Norma; and his three step-daughters, Lianna Aguilar, Raven Aguilar and Alexandria Saunders. Steve is also survived by his siblings, Dave, Rob, Debbie Wheeland and Monica Seeley; including numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Griswold and Inez Lister, and his oldest brother, Mike Griswold.
A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held on Saturday, October l3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Pikes Peak Christian Church, 4955 Bradley Road, Security, Colorado.
