Steven J. Lucero, beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 29, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 14, 1969, the fifth of five children born to Eugene and Erma Lucero. Steve graduated from Harrison High School in 1987. While at Harrison High School Steve met his wife, Marie Lucero, who he was married to for 28 years. From this union came two children, Nichole Lucero and Charlene Lucero. Steve was also a grandfather to Nellina Lucero.
After graduation he obtained an associates degree in electronics engineering and went on to work in electronics manufacturing. He later chose a new career path in the construction industry, which took him to places like Cameroon, Africa and many locations in the United States.
Family and friends were extremely important in his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and any other activity that involved the outdoors. He also enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and took great pride in having a perfectly manicured lawn. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his dogs. Music is also something he really enjoyed and he was a talented guitar player. Steve also had a love for hot rod cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.Services will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021, from 12:00p.m. - 2:00p.m, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Our condolences to Steven's family and friends. My son Frank introduced us to Steven some years back. We were so surprised at his passing. May he rest in peace in God's glory. My son Frank also offer's his condolences.

I met Steve when I started working for the State. He always came by to say hi, and he was always there to share a smile or talk awhile. I miss him, look for him to come through the door. God bless his family, he was loved.

Our sincerest condolences to Steve´s family. Steve was a friend of ours and we are saddened to hear of his passing. Nadine met Steve Lucero in junior high and Steve B. Met him in high school. Many good memories. God bless my brother in Christ.
