Steven Mullens Obituary

Another year, Mulley. I wonder what advice you would give about my current situation? As your headstone says, We Miss You, Steve.

Hey Mulley:
Tim Guill and I had dinner Thursday Night and we spent a lot of time talking about you. You are not forgotten.

You are not forgotten Mulley. Glad I could come visit you last month, it still doesn't seem real that you are gone.

Where did a year go? I still find it physically painful to think about you being gone. Peace to you, wherever you may be.

After all this time, me and by group of friends bring his name up in every conversation. It is always " What would Mullens have done" never fails. we all admit we still think of him on a daily. basis. What a Mench he was!!!

Steve will be missed. He was not only a great attorney but a caring sole. He helped me through some very difficult times in my case and I thank him for all his time and effort. I will miss him not only because he was my attorney but I will the man. With deepest sympathy. My prayers are with his family and friends

I just found out about Steve leaving this earth. He was my attorney and he truly cared about me as a person. He encouraged me to love myself and be healthier, he made me feel valued as a person with very few words. This earth will feel the loss of such a uniquely kind, knowledgeable, professional man.

I found myself in litigation last week. The lawyer I had was no Steve Mullens. I will always ask under my breath in any situation where thinking comes into play say to myself " What would Mully do here?" Or more than that say " Mully do something" that is the way I say my daily prayers now".That man was light years ahead of any lawyer I have ever run into. His courage and conviction and originality are vacant in the teaming thousands of lawyers who come and go. How can I find him again?

I can with all confidence say that Steve was used by God in securing a wonderful and sustaining, MAJOR chapter of my life. Learning of his death brought great sadness to me. I last spoke with him a few years ago. I owe him more than I can now fully comprehend or express. I have heard that a sharp sense of humor is a leading indicator of intelligence. If that is the case, Steve was a genius. These days especially, great men are few and far between. As far as I am concerned, Steve was, in heart and mind, a truly extraordinarily great man. The fragile and painful brevity of this life has been once again underscored in his passing. Speaking for myself, my wife and family, "We love you, Steve."

I grew up in Binghamton with Steve and David, and therefore have many fond memories of our youth. While I hadn't been in touch for many years, I did have the opportunity to reconnect at our high school reunion Oct. 2014. We all had a great time and I feel fortunate to have had that time together. His untimely passing saddens us deeply. Harvey and I send our heartfelt sympathy to your families.

Steve was a memorable Workers Comp Attorney, and will be missed.

I met Steve in 1975. I can still remember his blue blazer, kaki slacks, and hush puppy shoes. The thing that made him such a good person is that he saw the good in everyone he met. I have to say that he was one of the best people I have ever met. We will all miss him that is not the point. The world would be a much better place if he was still here. That is especially true with all the people he came into contact with. There will be no one that can take his place.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I worked for him for 10 years and he was an amazing boss and a brilliant great person. I learned so much from him. He will truly be missed. May your light continue to shine on. Rest in Peace Steve.

Very sad to hear of Steve's passing. He was a good boss and mentor many years ago.

I was honored to have worked on a case with Steve and have gotten advice from him which he freely gave to some many of us worker's compensation attorneys in Colorado. I had the deepest respect for his work ethic towards the injured and his fearless representation at all stages of cases. He was truly a great person with great character and a brilliant mind. I loved watching him in court. He will be sorely missed in our legal community as there is no one else like him. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, his associates and his loyal staff.

Extremely saddened to hear that Steve has died. He was a strong, powerful, intelligent attorney. If he was in your corner you had a fierce champion fighting every step of the way to protect your rights. He had a lot of good sayings like "revenge is a dish best served cold...I'm glad he was on my side.

Having worked for Steve's law firm in Colorado Springs for several years a decade ago, I saw first hand how competent and compassionate he was when interacting will all his clients. He was very respected by his staff as well. He will be sorely missed in this community; however,his legacy will live on long into the future. Blessings to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. He was my attorney for 22 years and I'm also proud to say he became a friend. He always had a joke or funny story to tell when I saw him. He was a Champion for his clients and will truly be missed. My sympathies go out to his family and his "law family".

Steven was my lawyer for nearly 18 years. He was always there for me and my family. He was a great man. My sympathy goes out to his family and his staff that was with him for many years. What a great loss.

Steven was one of several lawyers for Lynn during his successful battle against Cotter Corp and helped me when I filed for RECA/EEOICPA. He was more than a legal adviser he was a friend. He and Lynn were going to go fishing but never got the chance. We respected him for his council and enjoyed him as a friend. My deepest sympathy to his family and associates.
