Sue Freeman Obituary

Sue Ann Freeman, 70, of Colorado Springs, passed away on September 13, 2009. Sue was born on February 26, 1939 in Tuscumbia, Alabama to the late Fred and Bessie (McDaniels) Burcham. On December 15, 1956, Sue married James E. Freeman and together had two children. Sue was a day care provider for several years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, crafts, collecting dolls, and spending time with her grandchildren. Sue is survived by her beloved husband Jim, two children, Donna (Robert) Maurio and Keith (Yolanda Robles) Freeman; one sister, Delores Burcham; and three grandchildren, Shanon, Matthew, and Nicholas. Sue was preceded in death by parents and two sisters, Faye Carley and Margie Stevenson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18 at 1:00 PM at the Springs Community Church, 7290 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society or the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Sue Freeman.
