Susan Cadle Obituary

Susan Mary Cadle (Nee Allsop) was born in Coventry, England in 1942. She loved the piano, she could quote stanzas of Blake, she constructed skyscrapers of hair in the 60's, and she & Tez drove a beat-up mini over the Alps in a rain storm, and when the windshield wipers broke they pulled them side to side with string and laughed the whole time. Sue grew sunflowers taller than her shed, she had passionate friendships that lasted across decades and continents. She was an accomplished artist who worked in copper and textiles. Susan loved vintage cars and tiny dogs, and she had a way of making the rushing masses stop, sit down, and have a cup of tea. And the rushing masses _always_ felt better afterwards. Susan lost her battle with breast cancer on July 2, 2009. Susan was predeceased by her husband, Terry M. Cadle, and is survived by her children Julie (Cadle) Rogers, and Steven Cadle, and by two granddaughters, Abigail and Ruby Rogers. Susan also leaves her brothers Peter Allsop and John Allsop in the U.K. A funeral mass will be held for Susan at St Marys, 1260 Church St Elm Grove, WI, on Saturday July 25th, 2009, at 1:30 pm.
