Susan, you helped me through some tough times in my life and I will miss your counsel, your humor, and your kindness. You were one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure to know. It was and is my pleasure to call you friend, mentor, guide...I will miss you dearly.

Susan, you were the real deal and had a truly special heart. You were always patient, kind and willing to help anyone who walked into your office. It was a pleasure working down the hall from you at Peterson AFB, CO. You will be truly missed by everyone whose life you touched and inspired. May you rest in peace.

We will remember Susan as a valiant warrior. For over twenty years she engaged in uniting the community to confront suicide as a preventable health problem. With courage and dignity she battled the disease that took her from us. In all ways Susan epitomized 'classy lady'. We pray her family finds solace knowing her loving, cheerful demeanor, her talents, passion, generosity and tireless effort left indelible footprints on the hearts of all who knew her and made the world a safer, kinder place.

We will miss our dear friend dearly. Susan was the best of everything - dignified, funny, loving, gracious, generous and gorgeous. Our hearts go out to the Golden and Marino families as they come to terms with this great loss. She left a wonderful legacy for all who knew her.

Our deepest sympathy to the Golden family. I was struck when looking at Susan's picture gallery that she had a wonderful smile in every single photo! Hers truly was a life well lived. Several years ago we were lucky to spend a New Year's Eve with Susan and her husband and a group of their dear friends. Prayers going out to her loving family. Al & Carol Galus
