Susan Day Fonda Hart passed away on July 28, 2021, in Los Angeles, CA. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Day, sister Marsha Seidel and husband William Hart. Susan is survived by children, John Fonda (Jerrie Lynn), son, Matthew Fonda; grandchildren, James Fonda (Leslie), granddaughter, Suzanne Fonda (husband Nicholas Danielson); great-grandson Stewart Fonda and step-grandson Sebastian Danielson; previous husband, Jere W. Fonda; Janice Fonda, mother of grandchildren James and Suzanne; nephews John and Robert Seidel and their families.

Born and raised in Omaha Susan attended Brownell Talbot, continued education at Mount Vernon campus of George Washington University transferring to the University of Colorado to finish her degree in Art History and Interior Design. She was a 60+ year member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at C.U. She married Jere W. Fonda and had two children, John and Matthew.

Susan was active in the Omaha Junior League, chaired the Clarkson Hospital Fashion Show, served on the Debutant Ball Committee, the Aksarben Ball Committee, becoming Chairman, and The Henry Doorly Zoo, Chairing its fundraiser "Zoofari".

In 1994 she married William D. Hart and moved to Colorado Springs where they lived in Kissing Camels at the Garden of the Gods Club. Susan returned to Omaha in 2019.

Private family service and burial were at Omaha's Forest Lawn Cemetery on Sept 8th, 2021.
