I'm deeply sorry to read of Mrs. Haverkorn's passing. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to her husband and family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. And that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.

Dear Haverkorn Family,
We just heard of your loss. We here at Peyton Elementary just adored Susan! She will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful volunteer here at the school and always a bright cheerful presence in our building.

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing.
I had the privilege of meeting Susan when her grandson, Kyle, was in my Third Grade classroom. Being a lifelong teacher at heart, she would volunteer in my classroom, loved to help out by grading papers. She would come in at the dismissal bell and stay for at least an hour, while Kyle attended Boy Scouts. I truly enjoyed our conversations and just laughing about life.
The following year, when Kyle was in Fourth Grade, there Susan was again, sitting outside his classroom, hard at work grading papers. Giving her a hug, we talked and laughed again about how we worked her too hard. She said she enjoyed helping out. Always there for us! I know how much Kyle loved his grandmother, and everyone else who met Susan. She was endearing, kind, selfless, and genuine. Thank you Kyle for sharing your grandmother with me. My condolences to your family.

Susan or as I will always know her as Mrs. H was always a kind and caring woman to me. I was friends with her son Chad growing up and her and Dwight took me in like I was one of their own. I remember The Haverkorn's house was the first house I was able to have a sleep over at when I was younger. I remembering being nervous and scared and not being able to sleep and Mrs. H stayed up and had cookies and milk with me and made everything better. She will always have a place in my heart and the kindness she showed me will always live through me what she and her husband showed me growing up.
