SUSAN (ASKEW) MCALLISTER
January 16,1951 December 16, 2020
Susan, beloved Nana, died of COVID-19 at Penrose Hospital. She was born in Lima, Peru, where her father was a US Foreign Service Diplomat. Susan lived most of her formative years with her family overseas. She graduated from Grahm Junior College in Boston, MA, and later relocated to Northern Virginia and Colorado Springs, CO where she worked for MCI Communications. The daughter of Laurin & Valerie Askew of Alarcon, Spain, she is survived by her son Michael Hamilton and daughter-in-law Florence of Medford, MA, daughter Sarah Kelso of Colorado Springs,brother Paul G. Askew and his wife Evelyn Petros of St. James, NC, nephew Laurin & wife Kasey Askew of Hamilton, NJ, niece Elizabeth Everhart and husband Keithof Paris, France. Private family service.

Susan was the mom everyone wanted. She was beautiful, funny and thoughtful. She was the type of woman that can't be described with just words because they don't cover it. I'm so sad she's gone and I know she will live on through her family, who possess many similar characteristics of Susan. Sending love and prayers to Susan and her family - Sarah, Mike and their families.
