Susan Steffers Obituary
Born April 10, 1949, she was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, until her marriage to Fred in August 1971. His military career would move them to England and Turkey, where she loved to travel and tour many of the European countries. Their final assignment brought them to Colorado Springs, were they have resided since 1982.
Susan had a love for arts, crafts, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed many adventures traveling through the mountains, going up to Cripple Creek to have some fun! She was actively involved with the sisters of Zeta Tau Chap 2064 of Epsilon Sigma Alpha where she held several different officer positions.
Susan is survived by her husband, Fred Steffers; son, Gregory (Sandy) Steffers; grandchildren, Mason and Ashley Steffers; and sister, Janice (Pat) Zach.
Visitation, 6:00-8:00PM, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Funeral service, 3:00PM, Thursday, August 13, 2015 at The Springs Funeral Services.

Sue has been my second mom for 37 years. While we've not been in touch as closely lately, I think about her and her family, my second family, often. I will miss her deeply! I love you, Sue!!

Sue brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to meet her. Bob and I already miss her deeply. She (and Fred and Greg) became a part of our family almost from the moment we met at RAF Bentwaters in 1978. Sue was the greatest friend anyone could want, and my confidante. Memories of so many wonderful times together will be cherished in our hearts forever.
