Susan Gurney Stoner, aged 92, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO. Born on November 5, 1933, Susan dedicated all of her professional life to education, teaching English at Doherty High School from its opening in 1975 until her retirement 20 years later. Following her retirement, she continued to engage with the community as a docent at the Garden of the Gods, sharing her knowledge and passion for the natural world.
A memorial service will be held at Cheyenne Mountain Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 13th at 2 PM.
