Suzanne Melcher Obituary

On December 29, 2006 Suzanne Melcher lost a long battle with emphysema. Sue was a loving mother to her two daughters, a caring wife and devoted grandmother. During her long career she saved many lives. She was an EMT sergeant with North Carolina's Cumberland County rescue squad. Suzanne also worked as an EMT instructor for both the Fayetteville Community College, and the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She also worked at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center as an emergency technician. More recently she worked as an office manager to Dr. Richard Harris in his clinic in Woodland Park, Colorado. Suzanne is survived by her husband of 35 ½ years Todd, their two daughters Heidi and Andrea, her son-in-law Shane Grassmyer, her two grandsons Dylan and Devan. Her father Donald C. Kent, a sister Georjanna Mrssny, as well by her many loving and extended friends and family members. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2207 at 2PM at Advantage-Chapel of Memories, 829 S. Hancock Avenue.

thank you mom, i would not be the person i am without you, you showed me what it means to be a careing loveing spiritual person and i hope i can share that with the world so that everyone will see the light you were filled with forever

Sue was an angel among us, she was very kind to everyone she met. She felt like a second mother to me always watching out for me and wanting the best. I will miss her very much and will never forget her loving smile!

My mom was a wonderful woman, I love and miss her very much. I think about her everyday. I just wish she was still with us.
