Tara Rogers Obituary

Tara Rogers, 21, went home to be with the Lord January 16, 2006. She was born January 30, 1984 in Colorado Springs. Tara attended Manitou Springs Public Schools #14 and was graduated in 2002. She was a student at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Tara is survived by her parents, Tom and Donna Rogers; one sister, Courtney Rogers; and grandparents, Dave and Betty Priddy of Colorado Springs; four uncles: Jerry Mundell, Bill Rogers, Jim Rogers, all of Colorado Springs, and Don Mundell of Iowa; two aunts: Judy Bastian of North Carolina, and Debbie Schramek of Colorado Springs. Tara had a passion for cooking, old movies, and Internet medical research. She was pursuing a seminary degree. Tara was full of life and love, and always brought out the best in everyone she encountered. She had a true passion for helping others despite her own medical challenges. She is a true inspiration to us all. During her illness, Tara never let her spirit fall but continued to have hope, and to show her support and love for others. She was always unselfish and kind. Tara: You have always been the greatest gift God could have ever given us. We are so proud to be your parents. Your unwavering love for God and compassion towards others was so pure. You are the heart and soul behind our love. You will be missed so very much. We had you and loved you for 21 wonderful years. Go with God and we will see you soon. Love, Mom, Dad and Courtney. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2006, at Fellowship Bible Church, 5590 N. Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO. Please join us in honoring Tara by visiting our memorial at www.mem.com. In lieu of flowers, honorariums may be made to Fellowship Bible Church.

I was blessed enough to have met Tara a few years back while Tom graciously gave me a summer job at the Cliff Dwellings...She was so humble and sweet. We then proceeded to have the best summer together that year with our perms and trips to the mall.

My love and prayers go out to the Roger's. I love and miss Tara very much. She has taught me more about faith, love, and friendship than anyone I have ever met.
