My heart is breaking over the loss of such a wonderful boy. I had Terrence in math in 7th grade and I will never forget his respect, thoughtfulness and his great smile. I treasure the time I spent with him and wish his family peace during this painful time.

I cannot tell you how saddened I am to read that Terrence died. I was his 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Horizon Middle School, and I loved having Terrence in class because he had that sparkle in his eyes and just a hint of mischief that was endearing. He was a good kid, and my prayers are with the family at this time. God be with you and may He hold you in His arms tenderly at this time of grieving.

My heart sank when I heard the news about Terence being hurt then passing on. He was not embarrassed to say "HI" to one of his 6th grade teachers not matter where he saw me - Sand Creek or the Commissary at Pete. He is watching over all of us and everyone should remember him for the joy he brought to our world.

Baby, I know your in heaven now shining down on me. When I kissed your lips goodbye a part of me died inside. You and I loved each other with all that we could and even though I know your not going to read this I know that your seeing it in heaven. You truly are Terence the great, always imitated but never duplicated. The one, the only. When I said good bye to you I told you that I am always here for you. I love you with all that is in me and nothing will take that away. Not even death. And every single thing that you told me that you wanted in life, I will do for you. I know what your dreams are and I know what you wanted from life and with God as my witness, I will live those dreams for you through me. Until we meet again my love, I will see you tonight in my dreams. I love you baby.

Terence,

Dang, man! I’m looking at your picture in the newspaper right now, and it’s hard to believe that you out of all people is in there. I can’t accept the fact that you have left this earth... probably because I can’t believe that anyone in my life that I care about will ever leave me. I always thought you were going to grow up to be the NBA star or the professional bowler. As horrible as this may sound, I never knew how much I cared about you until I found out you were in the hospital. I guess the saying, “You never know what you’ve got until it’s gone” is true. We made each other mad at times, but it never stopped us from being friends. I’m fortunate to have grown up with you throughout the years at church, and your parents are very blessed and lucky for giving birth to such a talented young man in many different things, especially gettin’ those ladies. I’m sorry I didn’t get the chance to say “Bye” to you in the hospital. I was going to go right after I got out of school, but I was too late. The Commissary reminds me of you... I got back from Korea on the 10th of June and went to the Commissary on the 11th. I’ll never forget you coming up to me just to say “Hi!“, and I’ll never forget your smiling face. The last words we ever said to each other were, “Bye”, but I didn’t know that THAT “Bye” would be our last. The Youth Group room was pretty quite today; it was the quietest day we’ve ever had at our church. We prayed for you and your family, and I knew you were there watching over all of us. Did you see me looking at that picture of you in the house we rented for the winter retreat? We all started laughing when we remembered how I scared you with your shirt. Were you laughing too? We've created many great memories together, and we've shared secrets too. I've always felt that you were very protective, like we could always run to you if we needed help because you were the big brother. Will you be my guardian angel? You’re in the kingdom of Heaven, which is the most perfect place...you’re going to be missed. Damn, I still can’t believe you’re gone...but you know what? You might be gone physically, but you’ll always remain in my heart along with all the hearts you’ve touched throughout your 17 years of life. I love you, Terence.

Your sister through Christ,

Karen

Terence... there is not a day that you have not made me smile and I know that you are smiling and watching over us from heaven. So many memories run through my mind, like remember our long conversations we would have in front of my house on the sidewalk, when we use to go to the park and play around and you'll also be playing basketball, when school was over; we & our friends always walked home together, the homecoming dance "Fire & Ice"... you looked so handson that night, and whenever you picked me up; you would drive to wherever the road would lead us to. Everyday with you was an adventure & a fun experience. I would never trade anything for it in the world! There are so many memories that will not be forgotten, you especially will never be forgotten. I can still hear your laugh, see your face clearly in my mind, and your big warm hugs... you were like my teddy bear. I miss you everyday & it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. They're not tears of sadness or of anger, they more like tears of happiness because I know your someplace safe, happy, and hey you can play all the basketball you want up there! You loved basketball more than anybody that i know. You're such a good person Terence, no wonder why God kept you close to him, you truly are an angel!!! I thank him everyday since the day I met you. Mr. & Mrs. Henderson, you raised a great son that became a close friend to all of us! Terence, I miss you so much but I will always be praying & smiling for you everyday. R.I.P. and you will always be in my heart.

miss you... love you, Chels
