Teresa loved sitting in the summer sun. On the morning of April 29th, she went to bask in a brighter light than this world can offer. We hope she is surrounded by all the things that delighted her: dragonflies, hummingbirds, Mexican food, Margaritas, and all her many loved ones who have gone on before. She will always be remembered for her hospitality, her ability to make others feel special, and her gregarious talent of making friends of strangers wherever she went. Teresa was an incorrigible flirt with a twisted sense of humor. She was a brat if a squirt gun was available, and she talked smack and woofed poo when playing Dominos. To Kevin, her husband of 27 years, she was a soulmate, a best friend, a confidant, and his toxic twin. To Teresa, Kevin was a faithful husband who took his vows to heart - for better, for worse, in sickness and in health - to death do they part - and she appreciated his goodness greatly. We're going to miss Teresa's faithful remembrance of birthdays and anniversaries as well as her thoughtful cards, notes, letters, and phone calls. More than that, we're going to miss her blunt honesty and her heartfelt empathy, her clear sense of right and wrong, her ability to move forward without regret and without a grudge. She wasn't much for religion, but her faith in a God of love is what got her through this life and is what she looked forward to beyond this realm. If the B-52s play Love Shack in the great beyond, someone better make some room, because Teresa is going to be dancing. And Elvis, if you're up there, you need to find a place to hide or face the consequences, because Teresa is going to be looking for you.
Please join us in celebrating Teresa's life on 5/6/2024 (11:00am) at Evergreen Cemetery (1005 Hancock Expy, Colo Sprgs, CO 80903) for a graveside service and a luncheon to follow at Patty Jewett Golf Course.

Teresa was a treasure. It has been our privilege to have had her in our lives, and be recipients of her kindness. Truly one grand girl, and she will be greatly missed.

My Teresa, we were two little girls in the spring of 1962. We meet in the middle of the block were we lived. I don't remember which one of us spoke the first hello but the other answered and it was on!! As I look back, I wonder how many "first" we shared together. I know there are many that think of you as their Teresa, I'm the one that could say it for sixty one years so once again my Teresa, I love you.
