(I originally posted this on the UCCS blog, but this is a more appropriate place...) I can’t believe such a vibrant life was cut so short. I will forever remeber Terrence as a man with a perpetual smile on his face. He was such an integral part of the warm, loving, and accepting atmosphere at Brazilian Capoeira. It can be intimidating when you are new to something like capoeira, but Terrence always made you feel comfortable and gave you confidence in your own abilities. His talent was a beautiful gift he shared with everyone, not something he selfishly showed off. The brief time that I knew this funny little Irish guy was not nearly enough. I barely knew him, but I will deeply miss him. AXE, Terrence!… the world is a little bit darker without you, but I’m sure Heaven’s now a lot brighter.

Bob and Penelope,
Bob it has been some time since we last spoke but you are often in my thoughts. I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet Terrence, but judging from what I have read he was a wonderful guy much like his father. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please feel free to contact me.

Dear Penny, Robert and Brothers,
Far or near, the word of Terrence's death is so sad, defies any logic of life that we might have entertained until now. As a former coworker of yours, Penny, I send my heartfelt sympathy to all of you from Little Rock, Arkansas.
May the love of friends and family sustain you now and in the days ahead.

Terrence was a unique individual. He showed us what it means to be true to ourselves. It's uncanny how much living he fit into 22 years. Terrence will forever be my example to live life with passion and meaning. Our lives crossed paths for a few years. I will always be grateful for knowing Terrence.

To Terrence's family....I did not know Terrence although I felt I did. He was a close friend to my daughters boyfriend, Matt and I often heard of Terrence. Through this friendship we were aware of his medical concerns several months ago and had been praying for him. I am deeply sorry for your loss and will now keep you in my prayers that you may find comfort and peace in your memories of Terrence.
