Peckham & the family moved to Kirksville, Missouri, Denver & Colorado Springs by 1967, where he attended Horace Mann, won the 9th Grade full scholarship to Fountain Valley School & graduated from Pikes Peak Medical Institute, Known to all his family and friends as an avid reader of science, philosophy, & science fiction, An ardent lover of all music genres, Terry was an accomplished guitarist & songwriter who had achieved the highest American ranking in the game of "GO", older & more intellectually challenging than chess, before he moved to Tokyo, Japan, in 1990, as assistant to the CEO of the International company Tri-Wall. After 24 years traveling the world, living in Tokyo & Shanghai, China Terry returned home to Colorado, where he passed away in Manitou Springs.
