Mr Donovan...what a good man he was. He and his wife, Pat, were good friends with my parents, Pat and Tommy Thompson. We had Thanksgiving dinner at their house a couple of times and he was always fun to be around. My father went to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas one year with Tom and Father John Gibbons when Notre Dame was playing the University of Texas Longhorns and as the story goes one of the brought in a thermos of coffee ( ya,coffee, I doubt that was what was really in the thermos!?!) and someone dropped the thermos and it popped and it made a noise so loud that security kicked them out of the game. They thought one of them shot a gun off. Three of the nicest men you could ever meet got booted out of the Cotton Bowl. I wish I could have been there for that! I love you Tom. Thank you for your friendship and your kindness. You will not be forgotten!

Tom Donovan was a part of going downtown and stopping by to say hi because it was just the thing to do, the Bob Russell and John Armanetti days of old! God bless you, Tom, we love you

Sincere condolences to Tini and family. Remembering all the love and laughter having Tom as a neighbor.
Westcliffe wasn´t the same without Tom. One of my favorite memories was when our son Chris was as sitting in a bar in Dingle and he turned around and couldn´t believe his eyes as he saw Tom and Tini.
Tom was a dear man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Agus go mbuailimid le chéile arís, go gcoinní Dia mbos a láimhe thú

I knew Tom professionally many years ago and faced off with him in more than a few court cases. He was quite the litigator and I have all the respect in the world for him. Always pleasant, tough and respectful of others. May he rest in peace.

I was just 20 when I first began working for Tom and continued, off and on, for the next 35 years. It's interesting how often he pops up in my mind as having shaped me in some way, I think for the better. He was generous, loving, brilliant and ever beautiful. I will miss him but the love I feel for him will always be available to be revisited in my heart.

As Irish as you please. As funny as you can stand. But what I love as much as his wit and humor was his heart. Uncke Tom cared deeply for his family and friends. See you up there Funny Uncle Tom.

His stories and deeds shall forever
be revered,
Though fragile and aged, his spirit
won´t be seared.
Once bold and daring, a champion
of the fight,
His legacy remains, a
bright beacon of light.
Judges and lawyers,
who once demurred,
May now reflect on his journey,
his impact a blur.
Riding into battle, a savior
for the true,
His scars may have shown,
yet is wisdom shined through.
He was one of the few to pass
the ultimate test,
America´s finest, always striving
to be the best.
We shall always remember and cherish
his quest,
A remarkable lawyer and friend,
we have truly been blessed.
For those who don´t
recall or choose not to see,
So many have gone, yet
his spirit runs free.
Even when challenged,
he stood firm and bold,
Even when he rests in peace, his
stories shall never grow old.
To all such lawyers and judges,
we send our regard,
For those in heaven,
their impact not marred.
May he join them,
sharing the tales he spun,
For in God´s embrace, his next
journey´s just begun!
