Thomas Gallo Obituary

Thomas “Tom W. Gallo, age 80, passed away peacefully on 24 October 2010 in Colorado Springs. Tom, a native of Colorado, was born to Joseph and Elsie Gallo on September 9, 1930. Tom married his childhood sweetheart Jean Crandall, and they shared 58 years together. For over 42 years, Tom worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. Tom was a loyal family man who cherished the times when his family was all together. He was a railroad enthusiast; collecting a lot of railroad memorabilia and participating in a local railroad association. Tom and Jean enthusiastically traveled, camped and fished over any terrain that their camper would take them. His hobbies were designing beautiful stained glass and jewelry, as well as, repairing anything that was broken. Tom loved to be with people; he never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jean. He is survived by his children Tom Gallo (Sevilla), Debbie Harnly (Doug) and Joe Gallo (Peggy), seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road, on Friday, 29 October, 10:00 a.m. Visitation will also be at Memorial Gardens on Thursday, 28 October, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Judes.
