Thomas Gentry Jeter, Jr., passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Known to many as "The General," to his family he was Dad or Pop.
General Jeter was born in 1938, in Refugio, Texas, where he graduated from Refugio High School in 1956. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas in 1961, a juris doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1962.
He was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force in June 1962 serving as a staff judge advocate and achieiving the rank of Brigadier General. He retired from the Air Force on June 30, 1990.
A memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on June 28, 2024, at 10am MST.
