I met Tom in the twilight of his life. A life marked indistinguished by his service to family and friends his nation and community and his faith. He shared stories of serving in New Mexico, in the military and if his very full life with his family.
He was a pleasure to serve with cutting down trees, cleaning up the environment in the goal of protecting our community from disasters like fired and floods.
He was a great man, and I was glad to know him. He will be missed by many, Godspeed brother.

I was so sad to see this! I knew Tom from the Y, where we worked out in the 80's, and worked for him for a while right out of law school. He was a gentleman and a wonderful person, and he will be missed by so many! Since I live in Texas now, I had no idea that he was sick, and send my best wishes to his grieving family.
