Thomas Carl Smith

FREMONT: Thomas Carl Smith, 60, of North County Rd 204, Fremont died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 1, 1951 in Fremont, the son of Carl and Jean (Hirt) Smith. He was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Tom was Self-Employed as a Mechanical Contractor for Smith Mechanical for twenty-two years. He had also worked for Sheets Supply. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church; Assistant Vice President of T.S.I.A. and a member of the Fremont Outing Club. Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, riding his Cushman and loved his Bears. He loved helping others and working charity events.

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas "Tommy" Smith, Lockbourne, OH; step daughters, Nicole SanGregory of Australia and Ashley "Ashley "smashley the fart bucket" SanGregory of Michigan; sister, Judy Rapp; and sister-in-law, Teresa Smith, both of Fremont, OH; nieces and nephew, Daylee Garza, Michelle Moreland and Ryan Smith and significant other, Kay Zimmerman, all of Fremont, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ed and Dave Smith.

Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Service: Thursday, June 7, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Koppenhofer officiating. Burial: Schoch Cemetery, Riley Township.
