Thyrzabelle Riddle Obituary

Thyrzabelle Jane Riddle, 95, died Friday, January 6, 2006 of natural causes at Fruita Family Health West in Fruita, Colorado. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2006. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum. Donna R. Cody of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Larry L. Heiserman (Jo Ann) of Grand Junction, Colorado (her children) survive her. Other survivors include four grandchildren: Jeffrey Heiserman (Tammy) of Fort Collins, Kristin Thomas (Scott) of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jennifer Schroeder (Douglas) of Monte Vista, Colorado, and Erin J. Slusher (David) of Colorado Springs. Also surviving is a niece, Lavonda Ehrlich (John) of Greenleaf, Idaho. Belle has eight great-grandchildren: Ian Slusher, Daniel, Joseph, and Parker Heiserman, D.J. and Tyler Schroeder, Camren and Afton Thomas, all of whom survive her. One grandson, Gene Cody preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husbands: Raymond D. Heiserman, Clint Buchner, and Lyle Riddle. Belle was born April 5, 1910 in Lakin, Kansas to Lucy and Reuben Daniel. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. She lived most of her adult life in Wichita, Kansas and Colorado Springs, Colorado. She lived the past eight years in Grand Junction and Fruita, Colorado. Mrs. Riddle was a member of D.A.R. and belonged to the First Methodist Church in Colorado Springs for many years. Her children and grandchildren have wonderful memories of the special holiday celebrations at her home in Colorado Springs. Family and friends gathered around Belle to join in singing as she played the piano. Loved ones remember her wonderful sense of humor. Family members request that in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Family Health West in Fruita, Colorado.
