Tim Krueger Obituary

In Memory of TIM KRUEGER. A Life of Adventure and Tempting Fate, All Wrapped Together with the Gift of Gab. Tim Krueger, a native of Palmer Lake, CO., passed away this past Sunday while resting between laps in Pueblo where he was dirt bike riding with friends. The only thing he was missing when he left us that would have made his journey complete would have been to have had his grandson, Jordan, riding with him one last time. He was a loving and caring man who was admired, respected and loved by all his friends and family. His presence will be missed by all. Everybody that Tim made contact with throughout his years, walked away with an instant bond that he could complete with only five minutes of conversation. If you gave him 15 minutes, he would not only create that bond, but find somebody that you both knew, regardless of where you were from, not only in the U.S. but sometimes even from other countries. His "gift of gab" and personality were infectious. On any given Saturday for the last four years you could find Tim holding class in front of the televisions at Biker's Dream. With his homemade videos, Tim would be walking a crowd, sometimes up to 15 people, through his high speed rides and wrecks. Two of his favorites were from Horsepower Hill and one of his trips to Moab. From his Horsepower Hill video, where he had a tank mounted video camera, you could see his speedo reading 160 mph and one of his crazier friends passing him as if he were standing still. At that speed, you could tell Tim still had that youthful need for speed to get his rush. In the Moab video, Tim was shown landing awkwardly on a jump and was catapulted over his handlebars. His friends were so used to seeing him wreck that they dropped the video camera because they were laughing so hard. He broke his tail bone in that crash. He was so used to breaking his bones that he usually reset them himself. I still believe Tim had broken more bones in his many wrecks than Evil Knievel had throughout his own daredevil career. Tim will surely be missed by everyone whose lives he'd touched. He has gone to a better place where he will no longer feel pain from his numerous broken bones. May he rest in peace and watch over the family and friends he left behind.

To all friends and family,

Today my husband told me to read this guest book and as I sit here with a smile on my face and a tear in my eye I am forever thankful for all of the people my father, Tim, touched. My family and I are gifted to have been such a large part of his life. I only wish that my children had more time with the man that taught me so much and that loved and lived life so well. There will forever be a void in all our hearts that only he could fill. Dad, please watch over us and be with us forever. We love you Dad.

Deepest sympathy goes out to the Family and Friends of Tim. He surely will be missed. I remember the days when I first moved to Palmer Lake with a couple of buddies in the early 70's on Highland Rd. We were new in town but Tim was one of the first people we met. He was always nice to everyone and will never forget the times when he'd ride the RR tracks down by the lake on one wheel or go 4-wheeling up by the reservoirs. Amazing Tim! Also remembering the time spent at the PLVFD going on fire calls. RIP Tim. Love you man.

To Tim's Family,

As a neighbor to Tim, I know him to be a good person with a great personality - he never knew a stranger. Over the years I heard many stories about his cycle riding antics. What a fun-loving guy! He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Helen, Mitch and Ginger

Pat and I worked at American Electric with Tim back in the 70's. And from time to time we would cross paths and start to reminisce about the the old days and he always took the time to talk to old friends that he hadn't seen in years. Tim will be truly be missed by us and all who knew him. Peace

I have known Tim since 1999. I was always amazed by his energy and postive attitude. He would ride anything that had wheels 2, 4, more or less, even some things that had skis insteady of wheels. He was a very skilled motorcycle rider. I will never forget the video he pulled me asside to view one day. Tim haulin the mail on Highway 67 the other side of Deckers on a Buell. I thought he was nuts. He will be missed by the entire Southern Colorado Biker Community. I know that his family will understand my absence from the event this weekend, all I have to do is say LEMCO.

Keep the shiney side up Tim!!!
