Timothy Brydges Obituary

Timothy Charles Brydges, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died February 6, 2010 in his home from complications of Angelman Syndrome. Tim was born in Alexandria, Virginia on March 18, 1985 to Charlie and Kathy Brydges. Tim moved to Colorado Springs as an infant and soon became an older brother to two sisters. Both sisters, Shannon Brydges and Eileen Brydges, reside in Colorado Springs. Tim is also survived by a big brother, Duane Reed, of Washington D.C., and a soon-to-be brother-in-law Joey (Shannon) Harrow. Tim was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome at the age of three. Angelman Syndome was first described by Dr. Harry Angelman and is a rare genetic disorder characterized by intellectual and developmental delay. Tim's parents Charlie and Kathy were heavily involved in the Angelman Syndrome Foundation for many years. Tim was a blessing to many in the Angelman network, and he and Dr. Angelman had the fortune to meet one another when Tim was young. Tim, a.k.a. Fuzzy, Stinker and Timmy to his siblings, was adored by his immediate and extended family and friends. He loved all things related to Elmo, cowboy, bubble wrap and, most especially, Santa Claus. Tim's passionate regard for the simple delights in life inspired and continues to inspire his family and friends to follow his example. Tim's funeral will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at two o'clock at Springs Community Church, located at 7290 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs.

Eileen, Kathy, Charlie, Shannon and Duane,
there is so little one can say to help ease the pain of your loss. My prayers will be for you to be able to rely on the beautiful memories that you all have of Tim. The road will be bumpy and seem everlasting. But rely on the strength of your family and friends.
