Tim still lives within each one of us, because he has touched us in ways we know and ways we don't. We are all better off because of him. Undoubtedly, all of us are saddened by the world's loss, our loss, and especially your loss. Just remember that each one of us carries Tim with us (I listen to Weezer because of Tim, I did a fourth grade project on Beluga whales because of Tim, I was the Wright Brothers with Tim...). Although I did not know your family well, I remember you all clearly from Buddy Werner and gymnastics (Greg), and through experiences with mutual friends (the Heideman family). In fact, I have some great memories of a four-family trip to Lake Powell many years ago...

It is with deepest sympathy that I heard of your loss. The whole world is at a loss for not experiencing the joy and wonder that was and always will be Timmy. Our family loved him deeply and considered him one of our own. Jeff and I are both so happy to have known him as long as we did and experience his many facets. Bob, Nancy and Family: How sad it is to hear of your loss of a son so young. I have 3 sons myself. The writing of Tim's life is absolutely beautiful. What a wonderful person you raised. The picture of him has quite a resemblance to you, Bobby Hackett. At least what I remember when we were very, very young. Your sister, Barbara, has gotten in touch with me and Helen also. And it is nice to know we have cousins out there who are such great people. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I can't express how deep my sympathy goes. God be with you.

My love and support goes to the Hackett family. Timmy was an All-American guy. He was funny, smart, athletic, handsome, loving, and successful. His smile had a way of enchanting the whole room and his silent sense of humor never failed to warrant laughter and joy. I am crushed at his loss, but I rejoice to have known such a person.

I am in complete shock that this could have happened to such a wonderful person. I just hope that my family and I can help comfort you during this difficult time. I love you Hackett Family.

Bob-Squishy, Nancy, Lindsey, and Greg- I am so sorry for your loss and pain, and I hope peace will come to you soon. I think God must have had a big project in mind to do with Tim to need him this early. Nancy, Bob, Greg and my Lindsey-Lou...

Words cannot express my heartbreak for your loss, yet one thing is for sure. I feel fortunate to have many wonderful memories of Tim. Those that come to my mind include camping and sledding in Telluride, fishing and rafting in Turkey Creek, Mother’s Day hiking and Thanksgiving soccer. Memories such as these will forever keep Tim alive in my heart. Like many others, I feel truly honored to have known Timothy Allen Hackett.

What a remarkable young man your Tim was, to have found his calling; seeking alternative energies and honoring our environment, we only pray that others will carry on his vision. Our daughter Regina, was a friend of Tim's and of your other children, she is currently studying abroad in Australia, she reminded us of the student council retreat Tim and you hosted at your Telluride home and what a wonderful time she had, Tim touched so many lives in many ways.
