Tony Vasquez Obituary

Born November 23 1937 in Huerfano Redwing, Colorado passed away June 28 in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife Betty, his children Anthony, David and Jennifer and son-in-law David Martinez, grandchildren Jenea Sutton, Andrea and Briana Martinez and David Vasquez Jr. and Brother Greg, and Sister Dorothy Irwin and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Castulo and Bernice Vasquez, his brothers Fernando and Modesto; and sisters Gloria Lucero and Viola Wright. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, creating jewelry, spending time with family and friends, helping others and reminiscing about the good old days and the pride he had in his construction company - Vasquez Concrete work. Tony has fought a strong battle with cancer but he still enjoyed life and he lived it to the fullest. Viewing will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Evergreen Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. His funeral Mass will be held Thursday 10:00 Am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2175 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. Reception to follow.
