Tristan Troeger Obituary

Tristan Troeger passed away unexpectedly February 7, 2010, at his home in Colorado Springs. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a beloved son, brother and grandson. Tristan graduated from Palmer High School and Pikes Peak Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked at Macy's and as a cook at Shuga's for several years. He loved going to the movies and had a vast collection of horror DVDs. He was proud of knowing more about horror movies than anyone else. He loved science fiction and collected the Dune series of books. Tristan is survived by his mother, Lisa LiVigni Millman and stepfather, Joel Millman, of Colorado Springs; father, Ronald Troeger, and stepmother, Karla Troeger, of Denver; half-brother, Lucas Troeger, of Denver; stepsister, Courtney Anderson, of Denver; grandparents, Richard Troeger, of Highlands Ranch, and Marie Rogers; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. A Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. Cremation has occurred. Tristan was kind-hearted and never hesitated to show he cared. He loved his pets and would rescue stray animals. We miss you and pray you have found the peace and happiness that sometimes eluded you in life. Memorial donations can be made to Pikes Peak Mental Health, Adult Substance Abuse Program, 875 W. Moreno, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 or to Mill Dog Rescue, 13030 Herring Road, Black Forest, CO 80908.

While we drifted apart during high school, I have lot of great middle school memories being friends with you, Tristan - watching Clerks for the first time at your house, riding bikes downtown to Recycled Records to see their latest movie poster offerings, and especially Christmastime of 1997 when we were both obsessed with Scream and Scream 2, which we both saw countless times. Every time there is a new Scream movie, I think of you. Scream 6 comes out next month and I know I would be much more excited for it if you were still here to dissect it with me. You left the party way too soon my friend. Rest easy.
