Trudy was so kind to me when I started undergrad. She and Gina were my across the hall neighbors on 9th floor Stanley. I missed them both so much when they moved with their family to California. Gina, if you´d like, I love to get back in touch. My sincere condolences. Rhonda Puls McCollough

Seeing Trudy's picture this morning brought back so many memories of her and how wonderful she was--always so engaged and interested in what everyone was doing and had to say. We used to meet with a group of residents and friends on Sunday mornings and spend the day together. Trudy was central to that group--she was so fun, and laughed easily and made others laugh as well! She could also be serious and was so caring and a great listener. She loved her family deeply. She was a wonderful physician--a true healer--and loved her patients dearly. She was a beauriful woman of great character and spirit. Her family was very proud of her, and I can only imagine the pain of her loss; I'm so sad for them. I know she is in Heaven watching over all of us.

I was just in Colorado Springs for a week recently and it brought back memories of Trudy. A couple of years after we moved from Colorado in 2000, we went back to visit friends. I had kept in touch with Trudy so I told her I would be in town and would love to have lunch with her. We met for lunch and she treated me like an old friend. What a wonderful lunch we had! She was such a loving and caring person. I wish I had a picture of us to share. You are truly missed, Trudy!

Trudy was so kind to me when I started as a freshman at the University of Iowa in January 1982. Trudy and her sister lived across the hall from me on the 9th floor in Stanley Dorm. I am so, so sad to learn of her passed, and impressed by the life she led and the career she pursued. My fondest memories of Trudy include playing Dungeons and Dragons, eating ramen, and visiting her family restaurant in the Quad Cities. My deep, belated condolences to Gina and all of Trudy's family.

To Trudy's Family: I just learned of Trudy's passing. She was a great friend and colleague during residency and after. She even came to visit us once in Richmond, VA. She was so loving and kind and funny and brilliant! We had many wonderful times together in Iowa City and after. I always knew she would be the most wonderful physician to her patients. And she loved her family so deeply and fully. I am so sorry for your loss of this wonderful woman. My heart is so sad for you and for the world. The testimonies of her patients says so much about her. Sincerely, Laurie Lyckholm and Mike Edmond

Wow, very very sad to just learn of her passing 2 years ago. I echo everyone's sentiment, she was one of a kind that always took her time, showed true compassion and concern for my well-being. She even used dirt she had from China to help with tennis elbow pain. Just back in Colorado and was hoping to see her again.

I just now received a letter in the mail stating that Trudy has passed. I was very upset when I heard she was ill and that her practice was closing. Hearing this news today, almost a year after her passing, brought tears to my eyes. Dr. Wong was my primary care physician for over a decade. She helped me get over some challenging health issues both physically and emotionally. I considered her a friend but she was a really great doctor and extremely dedicated to her work. I know she put in a lot of hours but always took the time for me during our visit, no matter how many people were sitting in the waiting room. She really cared about her patients. She always handed me notes before leaving my appointments, to make sure I remembered to work on the things we discussed. I will always be grateful for everything Dr. Wong has done for me. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will be greatly missed.

Dr. Wong was my primary care physician for several years and was the best physician I ever had for my primary care. She was extremely thorough, hands-on and very hard working running a sole practitioner office. She would always take the time to talk through issues and answer questions and offer dietary and personal health suggestions. I truly miss her! So sad she passed away at such a young age. Her passing is a loss to society.

I was also a patient of Dr. Wong's & she was the BEST Dr I ever had. I went to go see her when I was at my wits end! She got me all straightened up & I am still taking the medications she prescribed. I only left her practice when she became ill but I had no idea she had passed away. Thank you, Dr. Wong. You will be missed.

For the last 2 years of my mothers life, Dr. Wong was her doctor. Dr. Wong told my mother and me "Hospice" but my mother was feeling better and we thought it was too soon. Then I realized my mother was fibbing to be. I called Dr. Wong and she raised her voice and said "I told you she should be at hospice"! She was right. Everything she told us was right on. And she didn't sugar coat anything which was a good thing because we knew exactly what had to be done and when. Dr. Wong was an excellent doctor and I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family and friend.
