I so enjoyed working with you at the Holiday Inn of Clinton, MO. You taught me so many things - not only about the hospitality industry, but about love and friendship. You were a wonderful mentor to me. It's hard to believe that you're no longer with us here on earth, but I know God has something special in mind for you. Your strong faith in Him reassures me of this. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks for being such a great friend. I'll never forget your beautiful smile and bubbly personality.

Our paths parted, like so many others, nearly forty years passed. I couldn't let my troubles burden Valerie, she was too sweet, and I was too wild. I know now what I only suspected so many years ago - she would have born them easily. Tony, thank you for being a friend -- an old and dear friend. Through you her memory is alive, as she remains with you now. Valerie opened her heart early in life, and led by her example over the years, and she continues leading, even now. She did God's work on Earth. Oh yes, I remember. We can never forget what is right. For those who know Valerie, God blessed you; you know an angel.

I met Valerie a few years ago as we were working on a business opprotunity together. My first meeting with Valerie, I knew she was a strong and determined woman. A woman who took on hard times with abandon and never complained about her circumstance. She was always positive about what the future had in store for her and never quit. She was always upbeat and her qwest to do "what is right" always inspired me.

My heart-felt compassion goes out to you, Terry and Eric for your loss. Death always is harder on those that are still left to carry on without the one they love. Take comfort in knowing that she is with God and that she is in a much better place.

Valerie was an amazing woman. She was one of the most persistent people I have known. When she believed in something, nothing could stop her. I enjoyed working with her and getting to know her. I feel so honored that she was in my life. Valerie will be sorely missed. I know she will be looking down on Terry and Eric and making sure they are safe and at peace.

The thing I remember most about my friend, Val, is her generous spirit. I'm so glad that she was a believer in the Lord, as I know she is at peace, and no longer suffering. I'm sure that being with her loved ones who have passed on to the next life, are enjoying praising the Lord together. I pray daily for her sweet and thoughtful husband Terry, brother Tony, and step-son Eric. I know the Lord will minister to them through the power of the Holy Spirit. I will forever miss my good friend, Val, and look forward to the day when we will be reunited in the Lord.

What an amazing person! Valerie was so caring and committed to the people in her life and of course, to her animals. My life has been blessed by knowing her and I will not forget her.

During my last conversation with Valerie she said she was so glad I survied cancer when she knew how sick she was. She always thought of others and her strength and faith in God will always be an inspiration to me.

Valerie we will miss you, your kindness, friendship and love of all animals including us made it a pleasure to call you a friend and co-worker. My only regret is I didn't get to harass you about your middle name, Nellis, but I will someday! As you always told me "Keep Your Paws Crossed"

Valerie was a true example of courage and determination in the face of adversity. I am so blessed to have spent time with her recently and think of her often.

Valerie will be truly missed. My heart goes out to her family. I know that she is now in a better place, without any pain.

Valerie was a unique and special person. Her love of animals was simply amazing. I take comfort in knowing she is finally free of her pain.

Valerie will be remembered for many things by many people; including her love for animals. I am a much better person for having known Valerie, and will miss her greatly, until we can see one another again.

Your friendship was a breath of fresh air.. and your love for animals have inspired us all. I know the Lord has you sitting near him to welocme all of our furry friends

To the many relatives and dear friends: May the almighty God comfort and sustain you in these dark moments. He promises to never forsake us.

Even though I only met Valerie once, I know she touched many lives. My deepest condolences to the family. Tony, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I never got the chance to know Valerie, but Tony has always been a very good friend. I hope that the love of friends and family can bring comfort to you in this time of grieving.

Valerie was an amazing woman - talented, energetic, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to those things that she believed in. Even as things got tough, Valerie gave it her all - and often put others ahead of herself. We'll miss her terribly, but I know that she's in a safer, more comfortable place now. God bless her and all her family.

Valerie has touched so many of our lives. Her love for people and animals will be missed. I have known Valerie since high school. Her one feature that stood out beyond the rest was she always held on to the frienships in her life. Most of us drift apart but not with Valerie. They where too important to her. She cared more than anyone I've ever known. She was there for my son when he was sick and I believe her prayers helped in his miracle. I wish God would have granted Valerie the same but I'm sure he had a more important mission.
