Valerie Marulli passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 10, 2022 with her daughters at her bedside, following a difficult health battle. Valerie was born October 27, 1952 in the Bronx, New York. She was a lover of the arts of all mediums, but especially film - she majored in cinema studies at Hunter College, and she instilled her love of film in her children. Valerie was a hippie love child of the late 60s. In 1969, she went to Woodstock, was steadfast in her spirituality, and always wished for peace. She loved Classic Rock and constantly played the radio at home. The Eagles, the Beatles, The Doors, Heart, and Fleetwood Mac were her favorites. She was well-read, informed of current events, and enjoyed watching the Real Housewives and CNN in her free time. Valerie loved to laugh and her smile lit up any room she was in. Valerie took pride in her appearance and was a beautiful woman who indulged in skincare that left her looking much younger than her years. Most of all, she was a beautiful person on the inside, and a loving, doting mother to three children whom she loved with all of her heart. She was sweet, empathetic, personable, patient, caring, and her friends, co-workers, relatives & children experienced her loving devotion.



Valerie is preceded in death by her parents, Awilda Gonzalez and Orlando Jimenez, both formerly of the Bronx, New York, who immigrated to the U.S. from Puerto Rico and Cuba, respectively. Valerie is survived by a sister, Daisy Godfrey, of Queens, New York, and her children: Heather Marulli of Los Angeles, California, Larissa Marulli of Greeley, Colorado & Christopher Murphy of Warner-Robins, Georgia; five grandchildren: Kaven, Colin, Morgan, Harrison, and Alaina; a great-grandchild: Ava, as well as many aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.



Services for Valerie will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80906.
